Columbia Business School launches EMBA Saturday

Columbia Business School, recently announced the launch of anew EMBA format: EMBA Saturday. For those of you who do not know what ‘EMBA’ is, it’s the Executive MBA programs. EMBA’s are generally deisgned for people with 10+ years of work experience. Complementing Columbia Business School’s other successful Executive MBA programs, EMBA Saturday is meant to meet what the school believes is a strong market demand for a full MBA experience through intensive Saturday-only coursework. EMBA Saturday students, like their Friday/Saturday, partner program, and full-time MBA counterparts, will take core courses in lock-step with their cluster and will complete 60 credits to graduate. Saturday students will complete the program in six consecutive terms over two years. EMBA Saturday is a first in executive MBA programming that is meant to attract an entirely new segment students. The Saturday-only format makes the Columbia MBA experience available to executives for whom time away from the workplace–even alternate Fridays–would mean missed business opportunities and hindered career advancement.
