Why I chose to go to Osgoode?

Name: Sheetal Nanda

Undergraduate Major: Honours BSc in Developmental Biology (University of Toronto, St. George Campus)

Post Graduate School and Degree: JD (Law) degree from Osgoode Hall Law School

Current Job: Student/seeking summer 2010 employment

Why I chose to go to Osgoode?

Osgoode has a broad range of course selection that is not offered by many other law schools in Ontario
I liked that it was a larger class size
Osgoode has many clinical opportunities, more than other law schools, where students can gain practical experience
Osgoode has great international exchange programs and is affiliated with a lot of world renown schools around the world
The extracurricular activities are phenomenal; Osgoode also requires compulsory 40 hours of public interest hours to be completed by each student in order to graduate, which gives you mandatory practical experience

What Osgoode Can Offer Students that You Won’t Read About on Its Website?

Most of what Osgoode has to offer is listed on its website. However, I don’t think students realize how excellent the Professors aT Osgoode are – they are world renown, often have their own practices, easily approachable and are often the leading people in their field of law
Once the renovations at Osgoode are complete (likely 2012), Osgoode will be able to offer amazing classrooms, an electronic court room and plenty of study space
The students are also come from diverse backgrounds and are of all different ages and you are able to learn a lot from your peers
